What goes into Copywriting?

 

1. Initial Consultation With You

This is done initially over email when you get in touch with what you want. But it might also entail a video call or an in-person meetup to establish exactly what you want from your content - this includes tone of voice, audience you’re targeting, key points you want in your content, and what you ultimately want the reader to do at the end of it.

2. Research

I’ll then go off and research your industry and what needs to go into the content you want. This might involve asking you some questions in our chat to get a sense of your industry and the position of your business, and of course conducting my own research so your content is as brilliant and informative as possible.

3. Writing

I’ll then go off and write the content, making sure it fits all of your requirements and of course provides benefit to the reader, which is what all excellent content should do.

4. Round of amendments

I’ll then send you the content and, if needed, you can get back with any feedback or changes you want. I do welcome feedback but ask that you are specific and tangible with it - this might entail changing some phrasing or sentences. Big structural changes shouldn’t be made at this point as in the initial consultation I will work with you closely and ask many questions to determine what exactly you want from your content.

5. Final content ready to go

You’ll then receive your final piece of content and, voilà, it’s all ready to go! Post it on your website, email it to your customers, send it around internally - go and spread it to the world!
